Lance Team Brings Home 23rd from Nazareth
Considering the circumstances, driver Andy Santerre and the Team Rensi Motorsports Lance Snacks Chevrolet team were more than a little bit fortunate Sunday at Nazareth Speedway.

Santerre brought the No. 25 Lance Chevrolet home in 23rd place in the EconoLodge 200 at the unique one-mile, paved oval. The situation certainly could have been much worse. Lance Snacks Racing

Santerre qualifies 35th for Econo Lodge 200
Again, the Nascar Busch Series is running a combination event with the Busch North Series starting 44 cars instead of the usual 43. Given that situation, there are more provisionals. The cut-off on speeds was position 34. Well, Andy was position 36th which would have made it on any given weekend. However, since it is a combination event Santerre and the Lance Snacks team were forced to take a provisional to make the starting lineup for Sunday's Econo Lodge 200. Santerre will start 35th, the first of the provisionals. Points leader Jeff Green grabbed his sixth pole of the season, and third in a row. Starting Lineup

Santerre 3rd at NHIS in the ThatLook.com 100
There was no off weekend for Andy Santerre this weekend. While his fellow Busch Series competators were enjoying an off weekend, Santerre joined the Nascar Winston Cup, Craftsman Truck, Featherlite Modifieds and Busch North series in New Hampshire. Andy qualified the #44 EJP/Wheelen Chevy in the 11th position- but didn't stay there for long.

Andy's car wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad, there was really only one problem. Just like when he won last year, Andy's car was only good on the long runs. Those short quick restarts towards the end of the event all but eliminated Andy's shot at Victory Lane for the second straight year. Santerre was able to get up into the 3rd position, which is very respectable finish for the team and driver. Martin Truex, Jr. lead from flag to flag to capture his first career win.

"We struggled with this car, it's only the second time we've run with it," Santerre said after the race. "This time we struggled a bit, I had to do some work on the car in North Carolina and ran out of time getting it ready, I sent it to Marsh's and only gave them a few days to get it ready. We spent all day yesterday going over it and getting things straightened out and the car ran flawlessly all day. We were real good on long runs, cautions hurt us.

"These Busch North guys watch the Modified races all the time here," Santerre continued, "and watch all that weaving and diving, that's something I'm not used to doing. In the Busch Series you just don't do that, they'll black flag you and send you to the pits. On the last lap it's one thing, but early in the race these guys block all the way down the straightaway. But that's the way they race and that's the way they always done it. If I'm going to come up and race with them, I've got to accept that. I guess I don't have anything to be mad about really." Lance Team has 'Strange' Night at the Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - It was a full moon evening at the beach, and it turned out to be a strange one for the No. 25 Team Rensi Motorsports Lance Snacks Chevrolet team.

On an evening that saw the team post its best qualifying run of the 2000 season, driver Andy Santerre stayed in the top-10 throughout the first half of Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division Myrtle Beach 250 at Myrtle Beach Speedway. However, an ill-handling race car and a NASCAR penalty threw a kink into the team's plans for a second consecutive top-10 finish as Santerre wound up 19th, one lap down to race winner Jeff Green. Lance Snacks Racing

Ifft: The heat of the beach
To tell you the truth, I haven't really raced that much at Myrtle Beach. The one thing I do know, though, is that it's always hot over there. And when I say hot, I mean scorching. When he challenged for the lead early, a caution came out. The leaders ducked onto pit road for a splash of gas. Andy lost some track position- but didn't waste any time getting up through the field.

On a resrart, lap 71, Santerre headed into the 1st turn- but didn't come out. Santerre had hit some oil and was headed straight for the wall. He was able to avoid heavy contact, but the car was damaged and they called it a day. Andy finished 35th out of the 42 cars entered. Race Results

Santerre, Craven have highs, lows during race
LOUDON, N.H. - The mood was understandably somber for Saturday’s Busch 200 Grand National race following the death of 19-year-old Adam Petty, who hit a wall during a Friday practice run at New Hampshire International Speedway.
