A LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Lance Snacks Chevrolet driver Andy Santerre is coming off a 27th place finish in the Lysol 200 last Sunday on the road course at Watkins Glen International. Santerre said he felt the team had a top-10 car, but he was involved in an accident on lap 56 and lost the clutch on the Lance Snacks Chevy thereafter.

ELY FITS IN: Greg Ely, who assumed the crew chief duties of the Lance Snacks Chevy last week, had few problems meshing with his new team. Ely said he knew it would take a bit of time for the team to adjust to him, but praised team's efforts at Watkins Glen, especially in qualifying. Santerre qualified 19th for the Lysol 200 with very little practice.

TACKLING 'THE MILE': Andy Santerre will be making his third NASCAR Busch Series start at The Milwaukee Mile. In his rookie season in 1998 he started 22nd and finished 23rd. Last season, Santerre finished an impressive 13th after starting 32nd. With Kenny Wallace driving the No. 25 Chevrolet, Team Rensi Motorsports finished 17th in the 1999 Sears DieHard 250.

SANTERRE ON MILWAUKEE: "Milwaukee is a good race track for me. It's a lot like Loudon and we ran well there earlier this year. Last year we ran pretty well. But it was my first race back after my injury. I got a little heat exhaustion and a little tired but still finished 13th. I'm really looking forward to going there with these Lance guys. The guys are working together well. We've got good equipment and a good race car. I think we're going to go there and be strong.

ELY ON THE MILWAUKEE MILE: "We've got to be optimistic about going into Milwaukee. It's a track a lot like New Hampshire, and we've probably got one of the best guys that can run at New Hampshire. I've never been there myself, but everybody I've talked to tells me that Milwaukee is a lot like Loudon. I've always run well up there, and this team ran well up there earlier this year. We're ready to go."

ALL-STAR MCDONALD'S NIGHT: Santerre will participate in the annual "NASCAR Night at the All-Star McDonald's" event in Milwaukee on Friday, June 30. Santerre, along with several other Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series drivers, will sign autographs beginning at 6 p.m.
