Race Results
"A win is a win they always say. I’ve seen several Winston Cup races end under rain delay, and I said, ‘man I really want to finish this thing under green.’ We really had a good car. Its hard to say what would have gone wrong, but we were ok if it did go back to green because we had a pretty good car. Bryan (Wall, #77) was really fast and he was the only one I was really concerned with. I knew I had to get by him -- he’s running for points and I’m not. We talked before the race. I told him that I would race him fare and square. I had a couple of chances to get by him, and I just didn’t want to make the move because it was too risky. I made a move coming off the carrousel turn going down the short straight. I pulled along side and I got my nose inside of him going into the left hander. I though he knew I was there, but he came down on me and we made slight contact and he moved up the track. " TheGlen.com
A pole for Santerre at Watkins Glen
The Nascar Busch Series takes the weekend off, so driver Andy Santerre headed off to Watkins Glen with the Busch North Series. This is Santerre's second race at the 2.45 mile road course this year. In late June, Santerre ran the #25 Lance Snacks Chevy in the Busch race, starting 19th and finishing 27th. Santerre's lap of 1:15.477, 116.857 mph crushed Bryan Wall's record of 114.872 mph set one year ago.
"This car will be fast in the race," Santerre said, "I've had some good cars here, but this car is awesome. I always run good here. I combined (with Marsh Racing) earlier this year. I have always run good here and so have they, so we put our notes together. But (defending champion Bryan) Wall has the fastest car. He's the one to beat." TheGlen.com
Track Scene: Santerre in Top 10 Again
Following two straight top-10 runs with drivers Andy Santerre and Kenny Wallace, expectations were pretty high for the Lance Snacks Racing team going into the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday night.
We were on an emotional high, and we brought the same car that Andy finished third with at Pikes Peak two weeks ago. Although he hadn’t finished well before at IRP, he’s always raced well there, and Andy was hoping to improve upon the final results.

There's no doubt in Andy Santerre's mind as to which car in the Team Rensi Motorsports race shop is his favorite.
It's the same car he finished sixth with at New Hampshire. It's the same car he finished 10th with at South Boston. It's the same car he finished third with at Pikes Peak. And it's the same car he finished 10th with Saturday night in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Track Scene: Wallace Gives Team Another Top 10
Sometimes, and I won’t deny it, this job has a few nice perks. It’s a lot of work, mind you, but we get to enjoy ourselves every once in a while.
I flew in to St. Louis a day earlier last week than I normally would have, simply because I had a promotional deal set up for our driver, Kenny Wallace. Working with Gateway International Raceway public relations director Pete Wickham, I had arranged for Kenny to be recognized on the field at a St. Louis Cardinals’ baseball game at Busch Stadium on Wednesday night with Arizona.
