TWO STRAIGHT: With Kenny Wallace behind the wheel, the Team Rensi Motorsports Lance Snacks Chevrolet team recorded its second straight top-10 finish when Wallace finished eighth last Saturday in the CarQuest Auto Parts 250 at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Ill. Andy Santerre will try to make it three in a row in the Kroger 200 at IRP on Friday night.

MOVING UP: The No. 25 Team Rensi Motorsports Lance Snacks Chevrolet team jumped up two positions in the Busch Series owner point standings with their eighth place finish at Gateway last week. The team is 75 points out of 10th place and only 83 points out of ninth with 11 races remaining in 2000.

THIRD TIME A CHARM?: Santerre will make his third career Busch Series visit to Indianapolis Raceway Park. Both previous times there have proven unlucky for the Cherryfield, Me., native, having gotten caught up in accidents. He finished 29th as a rookie in 1998, then 35th last season.

SANTERRE ON IRP: "I've raced pretty well at IRP, I just haven't had the luck there. I've been involved in other people's accidents, ones that I really couldn't avoid. It's a nice little track there and it's got two grooves, but it is very hard to pass there. You've got to get good track position, so I hope we qualify well on Friday and get a starting position up front."

ELY ON IRP: "We're taking the same car to IRP that we raced at Pikes Peak, and that race turned out very well for us. It's Andy's favorite car, so we know he's going to get in that thing and run the wheels off of it. It's a short track, and the team has performed well on short tracks this season, so we're looking forward to another good weekend with the Lance Snacks team."

ONE MORE TO GO: Following the Kroger 200 on Friday, Santerre is scheduled to drive only one more race this season - the Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park on Oct. 29. Santerre will be on stand-by at any other track if needed. "If all goes well for the team, then yeah, this (at IRP) will be my last one for a while," Santerre said. "I've really enjoyed racing the car this year and the team has gotten better and better over the course of the season. I know Kenny (Wallace) is going to help that continue and the team is going to see a lot more good finishes before the year is up."
